Caroline Hospice Home reopened in 2015 after extensive renovations. The three-bed, in-patient home serves patients who need professional medical care and extra support in their final days. The home offers comfortable private rooms, as well as bright and cozy common areas. Family members may visit any time, and nurses are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

- A gas fireplace in the living room and dining area creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for family visits

Caroline Hospice Foundation is responsible for maintaining Caroline Hospice Home, as well as covering all operating costs such as utilities, phone & internet, lawn care, and cleaning. It costs approximately $38,000 per year to maintain and operate Caroline Hospice Home.

If a patient’s house is not suitable for wheelchair access or if stairs become a challenge, Caroline Hospice Home offers a safe and comfortable environment.

A: All referrals and admitting to Caroline Hospice Home are handled by our medical care partner, Compass Regional Hospice. Please contact Compass at 443.262.4100 to discuss the needs of your loved one. You may also discuss hospice care with your physician first. Compass staff will coordinate care and placement with your physician.
Q: What are the visiting hours at Caroline Hospice Home?
A: Visiting hours are offered daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Other times can be arranged to accommodate family needs. A family member may stay overnight with the patient as the time of death draws near.
